Interview with John Martini aka Joker Martini

What other interests do you have that help influence your work and keep you motivated?
I enjoy sports as well as product design as well as video games. With all of those combined it helps to keep my creativity fresh. With the new programs coming out every year and seeing the new art created with them programs, helps to keep me motivated and determined.
If you had a choice to work with any CG Artist who would you want to work with and why?
I would enjoy working with Richard Rosenman because of his simplicity but yet very esthetically pleasing visuals. I'd also like to work with Alessandro Baldasseroni because of his complex, high quality next gen model creating.
Would you like to give any tip to the artists reading this interview?
As for tips, I have found that being a generalist in the art world is not an easy thing to do, but if acquired can make an artist the most valuable asset to any art team.
You are frequent visitor of CGArena from starting, any suggestions for us?
I would enjoy seeing an animation section on the site which would just consist of animations from various artists. Whether it be a few seconds of character animation or a short skit. I enjoy looking at digital art stills but one thing that I've never seen on any site before is a animation dedicated section to a site. I think it would be a great addition to the site considering there is no single site right now that an artist could go to and see animations other than on demo reels.
CGArena Answer - Actually, mostly users create animations for test with basic biped, free models otherwise animations created for short films, demo reels and those are already added on CGArena. But still we will look out for the possibility. Thanks.
Anything you like to add? It is your chance now to state your opinion about anything!
Anyone interested in the digital art industry, the more versatile you are as an artist the more valuable you'll be. Being able to adapt to different styles of art is a very strong tool to poses.
