03.12.2009 Prime Focus completes new ad for top African brand
Prime Focus has further extended its repertoire of ad films by completing a colorful commercial for African brand Crown-Berger.
Crown-Berger paints, Kenya’s biggest manufacturer and distributor of paints and resins, brought in Lalit Ajgaonkar from Procam Mediatel to create and direct their latest commercial, and Prime Focus was the obvious choice to post produce the project.
The 45 second commercial, which has 25 VFX shots, shows a woman walking through the streets of a market whilst spreading color all around her. As the background and objects change color, each frame is brought to life with a bright and vibrant look.
"About 90% of the ad is CG" says Raj Tambaku, Creative and Visual Effects Supervisor for Prime Focus. "We were involved with the agency - Agency Express DDB, Kenya - right from conceptualizing to directing to delivering the final piece. It was quite a challenge for the team."
This VFX heavy ad was completed by a team of five creative professionals, who delivered the project in 25 days under the creative guidance of Raj Tambaku.
