head

Postby montressor » 11 Sep 2009, 07:07

Thank you for the question. Here is the head. I would like a body as well, but the time isn't my friend...
I tried pelt mapping first time, but the stretcher doesn't connect the face outline, but the outline of the left eye :? :?:
I tried to cut more edges, check the poly but nothing
Any advices appreciated
Thank you All!

Nice going!
It's looking quite good, but there are still some areas that need to be modified. I took your image and marked those areas. I played a bit with liquify tool inside photoshop to change stuff a bit :D
Hope it helps!
Good luck to you!

pelt

Postby montressor » 14 Sep 2009, 13:44

AdmNelson: Thank you! it's hard especially for me
To me: But cheer up!

Now I'm trying pelting the head, mainly the face. After some hours  there are still some distortions on the nose and the top of the head :( Maybe I can ignore this (I say again: I'm not perfect  ), because I focus the area of eyes. I'll make test render, how it is viewable...
Because the pelt strings connected to outline of left eye as I posted some days before, I had to make a cap in the eye, and then make that face hidden... So the pelt works...

your right, better to put your energy on ht earea which is visible to the camera, I suggest you better create your scene angle with your character then you can deside which area to focus on.
