Thanks guys! I'm really busy with work lately, so it's hard to find time to work on my entry...but I try to get some time in here and there. I'm currently working on the top of the bridge. I'll post another update when I get a little more done. Thanks for your interest!

Postby warpv » 09 Jul 2006, 23:53

Hi guys! I had a bit of time this weekend, so I worked a bit on the top part of the bridge. Still A LOT to do and the deadline is approaching ever so quickly!! Yikes!! Anyway, here's the WIP.

No...I actually don't even know what ZBrush is for...except for making nice looking heads and bodys like hypnotik did. My model's done in 3D Studio Max. I'm just starting to learn max...but I definately would love to learn some ZBrush also in the futur!

Is the deadline really just 10 days away?! o.o Omg! I'm so busy with other stuff...I just hope I'll have a reasonably presentable image that I can at least enter in the contest! Still so much to do! Ah!

Nice details on this bridge :)
I'd love to see it textured.
Good luck 8)

Final Image!

Postby warpv » 28 Jul 2006, 01:19

Hey everyone! I have been SOO busy this last month, and I didn't quite have time to do the image exactly like I had envisioned in the begining, so yesterday I was just thinking that I wouldn't even submit anything. But then I thought, why not? So I took what I was able to complete until now and spruced it up a bit and was at least able to submit a final image! Yes, I know, it's still another composite shot, not entirely 3D...I would have really liked to do it all in 3D, but the extreme lack of time I had this past month prevented me from doing so.

Those who are wondering, the bridge is done by me in 3D, and each glass is a picture, the front of the gondola is another and finally the background is another. I know this is not a compositing challenge, but I decided last minute to complete my entry, and I'm faster in photoshop than in 3D Studio Max.

I'll also be sending my hi-res image to your E-Mail ashras. Thanks to everyone who gave my support and comments during this challenge! And best of luck to all those who entered!
