nice claws! the test render is a bit dark, but the wireframe dispelled (no pun intended) my doubts.
My 3D mantra: There is no such thing as saving too often, too much RAM, too much detail, or a renderer that is too fast...

Managed to get the layout,modelling and lighting done.
A few more texture alterations and particle smoke and
I'll be done.

looking good so far, keep it up! I know this is preliminary, but the texture in the book strikes me as odd, there is a seam between the "Love" spell and the other text, looks kind of strange...
