Its a new challenge and ill like 2 congratulate everyone on the great work so far.

I have been very busy lately but heres my concept.

Concept:
Its a COLD dark alley in the middle of WINTER.
The local tramp is outside with the trash struggling to keep warm with all his life possesions in a shopping cart

Hi welcome to the challenge!
I think your concept is going to add some diversity to the challenge, since it is so easy to think of winter as holiday, play in the snow, etc, but there are also people for whom winter is not a joyful time. Good luck with it.
I am on nobody's side because nobody is on my side.

Updates

Postby damseremie » 30 Dec 2006, 14:32

Here i havent posted in a while but i have been working.
i decided to model the tramp then rig him since am not too great a character modeller and i dont think i can model him in the position i need.
The advantage is that after rigging, i can always use him for animation in the future. so i guess its my gain.....
C&C welcome

I think the character looks very well, for the snow, why not start making the mesh near to the ground I guess.

As paco suggests, use the mesh for the snow on ground. For falling one.. you can use afterburn plugin, or blizzard in max also have snow preset if i remember right.

Update

Postby damseremie » 10 Jan 2007, 17:55

I am now a bit scarred. i have reached my weakest point in 3d. "Material/Texturing and Rendering".(and they are what really make a greatscene) Still i hope to finish in time. i would be very grateful to anyone who has created snow who will tell me the settings for d snow material.
And thanks asharas99 " i will use blizzrd for the falling snow, all i need is the material for the snow on the ground
