Challenge: Ilamina-Eremie Idamiebi: Nigeria

Postby damseremie » 30 Jan 2007, 10:06

Welcome to all participating in this competition and thanks to all who voted for me in the last contest.
While i finally didnt make the final 3 , i was trilled to make the top 6.
It will only make me work harder.

My concept was to be an adandoned torture chamber with a skeleton or two and some old rusty adandoned torture tools, but it seems someone is doing a dungeon already. I may still stick with my idea but might need to make some changs. Expect my final concept sketch in a day or two

Thanks, Since i have not yet posted a concept sketch, i think i can change my concept.I didnt want to do the whole "torture" and dungeon stuff that seems to be on everyones mind.I finally got a concept that appeals to mind and were i live
Here's is my final concept:

A Number of decades ago, in my country Twins were looked upon as a curse. In some villages, A woman who gave birth to twins would be sent to the evil forest to die.
In other communites she would be BANISHED from the community. My concept for the Challenge Punishment is to capture that moment of banishment.

The woman is leaving the village with her twins and the few possession she has; while two mean-looking village guards look on; with the village she is leaving behind, in the background. I am right now scanning the sketch
