i am attempting to make high-poly mesh onto a low-poly mesh using normals and 3dsmax > Render to texture.

everything is fine except that it will only show the parts of the model that you can see in the viewport, that are facing you. all other parts are black!

can anyone tell me how to fix that?

ok i just followed this tutorial here which was simple and helpfull:

but when i got to the point where it said:
The normal map should look like this: Image

mine looks like this:

and i swear to you, i followed it EXACTLY.

little help?
