Those huts looks really nice! This a gonna be a terrific scene!
You are right about making your low poly mesh outside Z and then import
it in Zbrush! It saves you lots of time!
Good luck!

hmm. i figure from the camera angle and the texture that this is a zbrush render. now u have some issues here, besides double posting: i think u did the symmetry in zbrush(if so pls tell me how) and the mesh is connecting in some areas mainly because hes legs are so close to each other and they look flat on the inner side ; the details are good but, as many do, u exaggerated a bit with them; show us more angles.
best of luck!
old school way..........best way

Postby damseremie » 26 Feb 2007, 10:18

Have had a lot of work to do recently so i havent been able to work on the contest but am a bit free now so i managed to get some work done last night.
I had to go back to 3ds max to correct the legs before re-exporting to zbrush.
This is the high-mesh render from zbrush

Back to max

Postby damseremie » 26 Feb 2007, 10:28

i lowered the polys in the mesh in zbrush and exported to max. tried ti merge it with the head i previously created.
Does anyone know how i can create a displacement map in zbrush to use on the lower poly model in max?

Hey damseremie its good that you are detailing it to achieve good results but what I noticed is u are ignoring the issues like anatomy, proportions. In my opinion first you should work on basic proportions than go on to the anatomical details. Z brush is good ......... but only if u have a right model for it. And if u able to create a basic mesh properly than I m sure it will be more appreciated than a high detailed mesh with odd body proportions. ...... I hope u understand ................ so keep up the good work ......... and rock the forum with your work ............ all the best
