Im looking forward to the tutorial. But are you sure you have time? Due date is tomorrow, and it doesnt look like you have anything textured yet. Also, if your computer cant render it, the you will have to find a friend or something to use their computer! Not sure if you have enough time to do all that in one day :?

Hi Mat my friend!

So if you do crop renders it doesn't work out?...

The bucket size being small isn't helping you man... According to Mental Ray (I presume is mental ray you're using) the smaller the bucket, the more time consuming render... That's because in a very small bucket he (mentla ray) has to "fit" all the samples and stuff you defined... if the bucket is bigger, the samples will be more spread out... (man... in portuguese would be easier to say..) Imagine this: you have a glass... a small glass... and you have 3 lemons to put inside it... You have to fit them with great labour and time waste! When you end, they'll look very cool... but it will take time... Now, on the other hand, you have large vase... and 3 lemons... they fit in nicely, no time waste... final result a bit bad compared to the glass but...

Oh... what an example... Well I ope this helped out...

Good luck to you my friend! Still waiting for that email, but only after you stand up (the runningon fours thing)...

Down with Kari and the likes!!!!

Thanks SMaloney and bustedgame for being so understanding about the
time constraint these days, I really appreciate and I will post the tutorial
right after the challenge! I sure could need every minute I could spare!
:)

Ola mac! Really sorry about e-mail, bro! I will write something later today,
when I get home!
Bucket size can sometimes be tricky! U r of course right about the theory
u explained, but remember also the bigger b-size will mean more GI and FG
samples, more filter samples, shadows calculation and of course number
of textures to handle!
Here are the textures I got so far! Around a dosin are 2k, almost half are
1k and I got almost as many shaders! So all has to go through that poor
fragile display card! Hehe, depressing, no! I just need a bigger machine!!!
yeah, down with shoelic....
