Initial Concept Sketch

Postby Dezza23 » 02 Jul 2007, 23:53

Here are my first sketches and painting to get the colours. I will be using 3D max for the final output, but the first few concepts are done with pencils on card (my favorite form of drawing). One of the scans are a bit rough as it was done on A2 Card in sections, then put back together in photoshop. The painting was done to try it with colours. I will be trying to recreate the goo that is around a baby, so there will be a reddish tinge to the whole pic.

Concept done with no reference to anything, straight off the top of my head. Really freaky to think what is up in there.

Any comments are most welcome as I am very new to this and new to 3D Max too. Only have been using it for about 3 months doing tutorials, thought I might jump in the deep end!!

concept and your sketch is wonderful, hope to see the progress soon. Now, post your updates only in this thread and don't create another one... Take suggestions and criticize other entries too.

Dezza23, great stuff!
Your concept looks like something that could been used as advertisment for a rock festival.

Turntables for Fetus the DJ (Initial Modelling)

Postby Dezza23 » 09 Jul 2007, 11:22

Here are the turntables poly modelled. I will be adding the final deatils like wiring, position of switches and knobs, and of course texturing when I have the final scene done. But here is the progress. Any suggestions? Modelled without reference images or diagrams. Just have them in my mind from way too much partying. :D Enjoy.

Fetus Dj (Baby Modelling)

Postby Dezza23 » 10 Jul 2007, 12:45

I am poly & Nurb modelling for the baby. Looks as if he may have polio in one ankle though... I will fix when I get the whole thing done. ANy suggestions would be nice. I am not rigging it as I don't have enough time due to working and freelance commitments... and the fact that sleeping is good for the brain!!! Dezza
