thank you! yes the skin was quite dry, now should be better. Still working on bump, adding little wrinkles by handpainting.

Ok no time's left. Hope to render the final layers today, so tomorrow I'll have the time to composite my final image.
I have to work on hair, the skin is to be considered finished due to lack of time ;)

I have final layers at final resoultion (2000x1200): here is the main pass, z-depht, hair pass and reflections layer (half-sized).
I worked a lot on hair and eyes, and improved the skin with more irregularities on the diffuse (see the nose) and a bit of small wrinkles (under the eyes and at around the mouth).
Now I'm going to composite...

Ok, 3 hours of post production and here is my final image.
I composited all my layers together, colorcorrection , added depth of field and a bit of blur and grain.

It's time to make final conclusions: it has been very hard. Very very hard: it's my first 3d portrait, and I known nothing about before starting this one. So I'm quite satisfied with the result, even if I know it's far from perfection. Never be fully satisfied, they say ;)
Hope you all will like it too anyway ;) I did my best!
I want to thank everyone who helped me reading my thread and making comment and giving me precious advice, but even those great guys out there who wrote the several tutorials I read and that teached me te base of how to make this or that. But first of all I want to thank very much my girlfriend who really really helped me a lot during this work!
Thank you very much :)
Well, stop talking now :D

All the best to everybody, and thank you cgarena.com for this great contest!!
