Furniture creating in 3d max and Zbrush

Hello guys, can any one point me to the right direction? I would like to learn to detail a furniture in zbrush with a base mesh from 3d max.
For example adding seams, fabric imperfections and anything that would make the furniture look more natural.
I would like to know the proper work flow.

I'm not a zbrush user, but in normal work flow, i wold export the base mesh to the sculpting program, and do the detailing, and bring it back to 3ds and extract normals map. from the high detailed mesh to the low dense mesh.
