3DS max's Backburner limitation

Postby agi ridzky » 06 May 2012, 13:23

hi guys... i wanna ask about 3ds max's backward compatibility issue. As far as i know max has a tool named Backburner to read an older version of 3ds max scene file (cmiiw). But how many previous versions it could read? for example, can somebody open 3ds max scene file that was made in 3ds max 6 in the latest 3ds max 2013?

all latest versions of software are mostly backward compatible. 3ds max 6 file will open in 3ds max 2013 but not vice versa.
But when once saved a file in 3ds max 2013, then same file will not open in 3ds max 6, so always make a backup.
