Hello Everyone,

Thanks for participating or giving your valuable comments in the CGArena 3D challenge. As always we received lots of entries in this challenge themed "Winter" and seen some great concepts and wonderful WIP images with some not so good images or uncompleted images.

So, now these are the final selected 6 images from all the submissions, and its your time to vote for best three. Voting will close on 20th January 07.

It all looks good, but a decision had to be made

I would say,

First - 5 (It essentially shows the concept of winter not being to happy but nonetheless merciful enough for warm fire)
Second - 4 (This one could have been at the first place but lacked the oomph, though the gesture conveyed is very nice)
Third - 3 (I liked the idea of a squirrel trying to face the hardships of winter to find or save food)

Hi u guys, great work but some pix were much more creative than others.. Winter is big topic and what's nice that some contestants pictured it from a new angle, either a very creative image or a specific situation. It's so nice when u can feel the emotions that r shown in the image, plus the accurate details in ligns, colors, and the whole frame. That's why the 3 winners must be:

1st prize: Image 2 (great detail work, very creative idea, smart way to look at winter)
2nd prize: Image 1 (good detail work, funny approach though maybe the pic is supposed to b scary)
3rd prize: Image 5 (good detail work, it's like a scene from a movie)
