Ok I will say it as poetry ; …. My concept is “ simply abu Simbel temple “
now plz let me introduce my temple to you…
ABU SIMBEL ……THE MOST IMPRESSIVE TEMPLE IN THE WORLD!..

[size=18]
& here is some of the reasons..
* Most temples of antiquity are eventually physically altered, defiled or destroyed. This was not the fate of Abu Simbel because encroaching sands soon buried its lower half ( I will use that fact in my concept later
) .
* It lay forgotten for millennia. Abu Simbel wasn’t rediscovered and exposed until about 200 years ago.
* Before little more of two years BBC carried out research between TV spectators for the 50 places which every must see while is alive. Abu Simbel was one of this places!.
* The facade of greater temple is 33 meters high and 38 meters broad. There is a guarded by four statues, each of which is 20 meters high. They were sculpted directly from the rock. It was constructed for the pharaoh Ramses II in the 13th century BC.
* Abu Simbel is the most magnificent monuments in the world. During the salvage operation in 1964-1968 the temple were dismantled and raised around 6o meters up the sandstone cliff where they had been built more 3,000 years before.
* The statue to the left of the entrance was damaged in an earthquake, leaving only the lower part of the statue still intact. The head and torso can still be seen at the statue's feet ( I will MAYBE use that fact too in my concept later ) ..
[size=24]Its not just a temple ..its a movie star !...
• The temple is the fictional field headquarters of MI6 in the 1977 James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me, containing a M's office, conference room, and Q laboratory.
• The temple is a setting of the 1978 film Agatha Christie's Death on the Nile, where the statues "sing" because of the wind in the crevices (similar to wind blowing over a bottle).
• The temple is shown in 2001's The Mummy Returns, as a way to the Ahm-Shere.
• Team America mistakenly blows up the temple when they miss fleeing terrorists in Team America: World Police (2004).
• I think the temple currently preparing for new movie during 2008
Now , my concept ,but first lets see my sketch…

& with some colors …

I wanna tell my own story & add some fiction not just make a model for the temple & render it . I am willing to take my shot in exact mysterious moment during the history of the temple , a moment no one witness but my rendering camera .. & I have like 2 ideas , I will make one of them or maybe mix them in one shot ,depend on the time I will have & on the late camera shot study when I make the main 3d massed & move my camera around it , & for sure I want to hear what everyone think & recommend one for me , anyway my ideas are:
1- THE MUMMY RETURN: after the sand covered parts of the temple for many years & just before the temple was rediscovered again & all the sand covering it was removed,,, the mummy of the great Ramses II felt the danger & decided to leave the temple before the strangers hands reach it !! we don’t know where that mummy now…, but at least in my render we will be lucky to see the footsteps of the mummy & maybe the shoulders & the face?
2- THE FALLING OF THE GREAT KING : it’s the moment when that horrible earth quake happened & the whole temple & its mountain was shaking & the sand flow started to come so fast from the top through the valley to cover the temple for 1000s of coming years & in that moment the head of the great pharaoh status broken & fallen on the ground till now..!
3- BOTH 1 & 2 IN ONE SHOT : the mummy leaving the temple & its foot steps still there too , while the head of the status falling & everything shaking & the sand flow coming fast from the other side of the valley .. all in one shot.. ( but i feel its too much actions in one shot ?)
anyway If I made the 1st idea I think I will make the camera close enough to see the foot steps of the mummy more like this picture ….

.. but if I made the 2nd idea I maybe will make zoom out to be able to see some water & the cloud of the sand over the moving sand flow , more like this picture ..

anyway it all will depend on the workflow & how much time I will have after I finish the modeling & texturing of the temple..
finally .. here is some shots for the temple & the surrounding environment …

Hi, Mostafa Jamaluddin
welcome to the forum first.
I'm excited to see your concept work, and you made a
very nice sketch. sounds like you have a very good idea and plan.
I also love those reference images you've gathered.
they really have a right mood to begin with.
Good luck with the project and I look forward to see
the follow up!
