Step 13: My model is almost finished. Just need to create a cut in the bottom part of the calculator base. For this extrude the new polygons (-0.1) type : local normal. Then smooth the corner again by chamfer edge.





Step 14: For battery display near LCD screen use the same method of shape merge and extrude.



Material

It’s time to create materials for the calculator. Bring the material editor by pressing “M” and then Click on Standard and select Architectural and in Templates rollout select Plastic, in diffuse map click on none and select Dent.

Change the parameters as following image and then go to parent change IOR to 1.2 and copy diffuse map to bump and change amount to 30.


For label select white and yellow colors and for button select color similar to the calculator and for ON button choose the color of your choice.

For battery material change Standard to Raytrace and select Gradient ramp for diffuse and change the settings as shown below.
