As for the rendering we rendered a lot of passes in mental ray for later editing-freedom in Photoshop , the passes itself is rendered in hi-res 6k height each. For the fur pass we use standard 3dsmax hair and fur plugin, and for the character Hair, it’s actually combined real hair photo, shot with Canon 5D cameras and later on we added some more detail in Photoshop.
