In this tutorial I am going to model a hair dryer in 3ds max. In this tutorial we learn about mesh smooth and edge usage in mesh smooth. Ok, then let’s start:
Open 3ds max and create a line in front view like this picture
Select “Lathe” from modifier list and choose X axis from direction and max for align. Click on the check box of flip normals and for segments choose 10
Click on the (+) in Lathe and select Axis, then use move tool and move the axis little bit to the bottom, Rename your object to dryer
Press F4, so you can see the Edges Faces. Now right click on the dryer and select convert to editable poly. Select 6 polygons in lower side( that show in this picture), move and rotate them similar to the below picture ( in front view )
