This is the first part of a personal project, I love modeling and habits in order not to lose, and trying new things and move forward and improve that already use, usually propose new challenges to me. The attraction I feel for the old cars is that they can see as the beginning of an idea that has been evolving to this day and that in those first steps do not have the technology in use today.
Today we have programs that simulate almost everything: aerodynamics, ergonomics and comfort of occupants, safety before an accident, etc... but all this was unthinkable in 1936, the machines were not manufactured in series. Undertake a project like this required a team of authentic master craftsmen who made up a puzzle master, and where each of them left their mark artistic designs printed on it reflected. The attraction that each of these unique work of art has on the observer, is so seductive that induces you to go on the pleasure of the unique details on each model. The choice of this model was motivated by the spectacular design and myriad of details.
Modeling
Whenever you start a project of this type, the first thing I do is to collect the information, which will be very useful to complete the small details. In this case to start modeling, I used a "blueprints" that tracked in the network.
By placing the image in drawings, I have a reference to the proportions of car, which serve to make the first approximation of the volume.
As you can see the mesh is not too complicated, a part of primitive boxes, cylinders, spheres ... For the first part of modeling, working only one side, use the Symmetry tool. This gives you a rough idea of how the geometry is complete.
When the model arrives at a more complete level, remove all the modifiers and do a symmetry copying the object and welding the central vertices.
