Making of Alfa Romeo Competizione C8 Spyder Studio by Arturo Garcia, Mexico
Material for the headlights chromium has to be very reflective, with values in the ref.glossines at 1.0 and subdivs. at 50
From the mesh of the front air intakes, used the standard max material with the following values, and a opacity bitmap map to make holes
Other relevant materials presented in the scene is floor, which is easy to make through standard max material with these values, diffuse white Specular level 0, glossoness 10, and a reflection map i.e VrayMap
As can be seen, other materials also very easy to create with standard max materials and modified in the diffuse and glossiness, nothing special to explain.
Rendering - Let's move to the final part of the process and render the scene, the idea was to create the studio environment, like many studios did it for the shoot of cars branding.
To generate the environment, I used the ramp gradient and apply the degraded ramp with angle of W90 degrees. In the Gradient ramp parameters I choose the color from blue to white as shown in the picture.
The placement of the camera in a low position with a small inclination angle of the box with depth of field achieve the blurring that we can see in the final render (the target distance depends on the amount of blurring that we need).

I added the V-ray light and set the lighting value in the multiplier to 2.7 and sampling subdivs with a value of 256.
Choose the vray as my rendering engine because this is very fast and give excellent results. For the antialiasing filter I used the combination of adaptive subdivision and Ron catmull but this depends on each, according to the GI. I selected the combination of Irradiance Map for Primary Light bounces and Secondary Cache bounces to obtain to correct results with Global Lighting.
The postproduction for the final render was done entirely in Photoshop, (mostly every image postproduction ends in this software) basically it consisted the small color correction and that was all. These are all the steps to create this image which you can see. I wish you all good health and good luck with your projects.
