UV Mapping


Almost every object were UV’ed in UV layout. The character was sculpted then retopoed in max and then UV’s set in UV layout, Exported it into ZBrush, reprojected the details back on it and then extracted the normal maps.


Normal Maps

For this one I decided to go with the normal maps rather than displacement maps. Normal for the character was extracted from ZBrush using the zmapper. For the accessories, the normals were entirely created using Nvidia plug-in for photoshop. For the cloths the base wrinkles were extracted from the ZBrush then combined it with the Photoshop made normals.

Texturing

The texturing maps was almost entirely made using PS, with the help from BodyPaint for seam fixing. The texture resolution for the character is in 3k and the accessories in 2k. The character texture is made using hi-resolution photo references.
