After seeing some pictures from this beautiful place I decided to make a 3D version of this place, I was so impressed by the color contrast and geometric shapes, the sun and the sea at the bottom, at first glance looks like a springboard to the Mediterranean Sea, this is Balcón Mediterráneo, located in Benidorm (Spain).
This is not a step by step making but gives you an overview of the project.
I started with some good references to analyze the elements that would appear on stage and carry out its execution.
Modeling - All objects are modeled with polygonal surfaces, you know, extrudes, revolutions, bevels, etc, Paint Effects trees are converted to polygons too.

The sea, It's a Maya Fluid's ocean and to create the sky for the night scenes, I have modified one Maya Fluids cloud-like example.
Texturing - I have used uv mapping basics, especially planar mapping in most objects and some automatic mapping for the objects with procedural textures.
I have used mia_x materials with the appropriate settings for each object type, with the particularity that all the color channels where I've connected a bitmap need a gamma correct utility with 0,455 RGB values (0.454545 ... x 2.2 = 1), this is because the bitmap textures we use, are already adapted to see them correctly so we must fix this with the gamma correct utility and a simple or photographic Mental Ray lens to keep a linear workflow.
