Blending Ecosystem Materials in Vueby Aziz Khan, Afghanistan Web: www.aziz3d.esmartdesign.com
6 - In this case I choose (Mexican Palm Tree) from the tree list
7 -
So now let me introduce you some of the options which are available in the Material Editor, in the front of every single object in the general tab under Ecosystem Population category, you will find spinner boxes.
- Scale= by increasing and decreasing the values you would be able to scale up and down your individual objects in the scene, this works only on single object and not globally
- Presence= this option is pretty neat, suppose you want to double or half the amount of the selected plant then the rest in the scene this option is for you, by increasing and decreasing you will affect in the density of your individual object in the scene,
Note: The value of 1=100% and the value of 2=200% don't increase the values more then 2 or 3 otherwise you will end up with some unnecessary objects which will drive your nuts while rendering
8 - Click on the (Density) tab, this is pretty self explanatory which deals with the Density of your ecosystem, pretty straight forward
9 - Now on the (Scaling & Orientation) tab this is the slider which deals with the scale of your objects in the scene this will affect your objects Globally
10 - Ok now Click on the last tab (Environment) where the magic happen to blend the ecosystem materials, you will see bunch of sliders…
Altitude Range = if you slide to the right side you will tell the system to populate selected object in the center of the surface or anything you have, by sliding to the left you are telling the system leave the center portion and populate the objects around the surface except the center portion
Fuzziness Top = this is pretty cool once you populate and blend your objects you will see a little gap between 2 objects which is really not cool and realistic, by increasing the Fuzziness top you will be able to remove that gap and blend the materials more and more to create realistic results
Fuzziness Bottom = this is the opposite of the Fuzziness Top
