draw a children book

Learn how to create this painting, made by me.  I hope this will be of some help to others.  In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to create a detailed 2D illustration using standard Photoshop brushes.  You’ll see how to create a concept sketch, a background, and then do gradual refinement on a painting to bring out the details.  By the way, you can easily apply this tutorial techniques  to your other illustrations, logos, and projects!   Being able to draw or paint is always handy when following tutorials like this, however if you feel you’re not great at drawing or painting, there’s no harm in trying the following tutorials, they’re bound to improve your skills in one way or another!  I’m sure the ones who know not drawings can manage draw some little quick sketches like this.

Tools used
•    Photoshop CS3
•    Wacom Graphire 3 USB (Blue)

Step 1: I started by a sketch. Then I added color ground. Here as you see on the final image there are lots of green grass and it reminds you the one of the old song “Green Green Grass Of Home”  Here just try to imagine yourself in a scene like this. Here there is an old oak tree near the little house that you used to play on  when you was a child maybe? Once I’d defined the shape scene I spent some time on the colors things like the main colors and background color. Here is a try to get a clear vision of the image in mind. I began this image with a plain background in Photoshop onto which I splashed on some colors.  I don’t like working on plain-looking backgrounds. Adding a some varying color keeps me interested in an image and also helps me to achieve the desired mood with a bit more ease.

Step 2: Using little brush size to add details.  For this illustrations I use only available brushes on Photoshop. You can “load” new brushes if you want. Here are my brushes for this illustration. For my painting  I am going to use only  standard brushes. Before you begin painting, you’ll need to set your brush settings.

Step 3: The second step is here you to choose the main colors for you scene. And here are my colors  for this illustration.  As always I want to do something really colorful painting. I decided  for background some yellow colors and a little blues . Other colors are for the environment. Open an another file and save your colors. And always keep open that new file when you are painting.
