With really simple grid line I blocked the mountain city and fortress in background. for the arches I used a piece of photo.

Start fast and end it slow. Start with big size brush and end it slow (comparelest ad right image)

After you established the rough value and light, first stage of coloring begins with color balance that easily color the highlights, midtones and shadows of an image separately. I wanted to give it the cool night time color. That’s why I gave the image the overall cool color that will give me a good contrast against the warm colors of the flame and fires.

After the glazing stage I stated to use color mood on the brush and layers. I change the brush or layer mood and put it to color mood and rough begins adding color the piece. I used a textured costume brush with color dynamics sitting. Color dynamics will give you a variety of color scheme don’t be afraid of testing the different settings.
