Shadows and Light
I’ll now work more on the face and the hands and try to bring her to life. I’ll also add more contrast on the body. I want to draw attention to her face and hands, so the legs will be more into the shadows than the rest of the body. I add more colours to the sky, more yellow and orange and a beautiful greenish turquoise, I want the sky completely unreal that’s why I choose those colours :-) The hand now, I sketched the first shape of the fingers, they don’t have to be long and thin ‘because she’s not an adult, her fingers have to be more round and have soft edges.
Tip: Flip your canvas horizontally, that will give you a fresh look to your painting and help you to find out the little mistakes ;-0)
