Do you want to Play with me

Doll and Blending

Now that the details are almost fixed, I’ll blend and smooth my colours, I wont over smooth the skin, because at this step I’m not quite sure of the light and the dress is absolutely not finished, I rather do the final smooth when I’m completely happy with the character, so here I’ll leave it just like that and work something else in the picture, like the wall and the “demonic poster” :]

For the wall, I use a lot of custom brushes, and a lot of layers, I’ll paint over the whole texture some little cracks, and then merge down every “wall” layer, duplicate it and set it to soft light with a very low opacity.

The devilish doll is almost finished here; I’ll work the pattern of the dress, with a basic round edge and her haircut with a spackled one. I’ll also smooth her little legs, till I have a kind of peachy skin look :)

I’ll contrast the hand now, for this, I pick out a dark green, almost the same as the one used for the face. As you see I’ve used a spackled brush for this step.

For the blending step and the smoothing, I use a custom spackled brush, which is very handy to bring more texture and colour variation to the skin.
