Making of Punishment of Student by Stoffel Gaetan, Vietnam



Hello this is my first tutorial, try to make it nice. I will explain you my workflow and the modeling, texturing, rendering phase of my picture ``punishment `` where receive the first prize in the CGArena 3d challenge.

Concept

For the concept, the idea of the student punishment comes to me directly….don’t know why, As usual, I take my paper and pencil and begin to draw something and quickly arrive at this result.


As I get my idea it was time to set up the camera angle and with the idea and the camera angle get this


Therefore, now that I have my camera angle and the idea I can begin the modeling of all the element.


Modeling

For this picture I’ve decide to begin by create the environment , in fact it happen a lot that I spend a lot of time on the character and than let the environment on the side at the end, for this particular project the environment and the mood was as important as the character, so I did a lot of little element for fill the scene , all model with edit poly in a separate scene, it help me to concentrate on each elements separately , then when i`m happy with the result I merge it on the camera angle scene for seeing how it react with the lighting.
