Making of Punishment of Psycho Pianist by Chems Eddine Drouich, Algeria

Mapping and Texturing

Pianist: I used Deepuv for the mapping, because it is very easy and powerful with it. For Texturing/Painting, I used bodypaint, Photoshop was for creating Bump/specular map and color correction. For material of skin, I played with translucency, here’s the skin setting.

Puppet: I mapped the head with zbrush, and I used bodypaint for texturing it with projection paint, since my UV is average. For the body I mapped it with box/cylinder mapping even the bed cover and clock wall. about the hair, I create a long plane and subdivided a little bit for not losing uvs, I go to ps, I draw few lines and duplicated the layer some few times to have a good hair, and I add some color variation " you know a little bit brighter in tip and darker in the root" and I create alpha map for the opacity, I come back to max, I duplicated my plane few time, collapse all, adding symmetry, and finally adding FFF(box) for posing, I even use that modifier in posing the puppets.
