Making of Eternal Flameby Enrique Parietti
Render
The rendering was split to 5 passes to optimize rendertimes as much as possible, since the scene in its entirety (textures, reflections and ivy leaves) ate up a lot of system resources.
These passes were prepared and rendered individually of each other to later be composited together in Photoshop, and thus achieve the final image.
There were the following passes:
-
Default_Pass:
The main pass, which
contains all the main
scene elements,
including shadows and
specular highlights, but
no reflections.
- Reflective_Pass:
Only reflections.
- AO_Pass:
Ambient Occlusion.
- Volumic_Pass:
The volumetric light.
- Leaves_Pass:
To enhance the sense of
depth in the scene,
I modeled some tree
branches and to its leaves
I applied a material
similar to the ivy.
Then later I prepared the
pass and rendered this
element on its own.
Apart from compositing
the passes together,
there were no further
enhancements or
retouching made in
Photoshop. Here's the final image, hope you like this and don't hesitate to send me your suggestions and queries.
