Hi, my name is Andrzej Kuziola and I would like to show you how I created “Having A Meal: A Conversation with God” illustration.
It is constructed as a puzzle - different ideas, different inspirations and experiences (some of them very personal) came into one piece.
I find it more interesting myself when there is more than one way of seeing things, when illustrations are more complex so as the most of my illustrations this one is open for interpretation.
But there is one leitmotiv – double-faced people pretending to be good but really using their power to harm the others.
Because things like this happen all over the world I wanted it to look universal, not connected with any particular culture and regarding to a feedback I have received on graphic forums I achieved my goal – people from different continents interpret it in different ways.
From visual side my goal was to refer to symbolic figures from Eastern Orthodox icons and combine it with Arabic like ornaments, which I find amazing.
For the girl I reused my old base model, which I adjusted inside ZBrush with Move brush and posed with Transpose tool.
I changed shapes and proportions of the features of the face to achieve a desired look.
Clothes were created with Retopology tool and then modified with Clay, Clay Tubes, Move and Standard Brush.
